Executive Leadership
Mike Liepman, CEO
Mike Liepman became the Chief Executive Officer at Valley General Hospital in December 2009. Mike holds a Masters in Health Science from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, and has been in leadership positions in health care for more than 25 years. Mike recently served as Vice President of Guest Services and Facilities of Franciscan Health System in Tacoma, Washington from 2006 – 2009. He spent the majority of his career in Eastern Washington holding leadership positions at Empire Health Services, including Chief Operating Officer of this system from 2002 – 2004. Mike and his wife were both raised in the Puget Sound area and attended college in Eastern Washington. They raised their now three-grown children in the Spokane area, knowing they would ultimately like to transition over to Western Washington again.

John Beltz, CFO
John Beltz became Chief Financial Officer at Valley General Hospital in January, 2006. John graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University. John has extensive experience in the role of hospital CFO, he was CFO of a hospital in Pennsylvania for almost 20 years. John lives in the Sultan area and has 3 children attending college on both the east and west coasts. John is a certified public accountant. He has been an active volunteer in professional and community organizations having served as treasurer of the North Penn YMCA, treasurer of the Eastern PA Youth Soccer Association and chairman on the Hospital Central Services Cooperative, a 105 – hospital laundry cooperative. John looks forward to becoming active in the Monroe and Sultan communities.

Brenda Rogers
Brenda Rogers, was appointed as Associate Administrator and Chief Nursing Officer in late 2007. She received her nursing degree from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and a bachelor’s degree in Management Technology from Lewis Clark State College. She began her career as an ICU nurse in Idaho, managed an orthopedic unit, and transferred to Critical Care and Telemetry management before moving to Monroe, WA in 1986. Brenda managed the Critical Care Unit at General Hospital Medical Center in Everett before joining VGH in 1994 as the Director of Inpatient Services. She and her husband have two college-aged children. Brenda belongs to the American Organization of Nurse Executives and Northwest Organization of Nurse Executives. She is also a member of Kiwanis and is the President of the VGH Guild.
