Responsible for daily operations of outpatient (hospital affiliated) clinic providing physical therapy and hand therapy services, as well as inpatient therapy. #14-33 Manager – Patient Financial Services (1.0 FTE), Salaried position
Develops, coordinates and manages the Business Office and Admitting departments, including registration, scheduling, insurance authorizations, patient account billing, customer service, follow-up, reimbursement, collections and cash posting. Ensures accurate, compliant and timely billing, insurance and self-pay account follow-up. Assures that accounts are reviewed for appropriate determination of charity care, bank loan eligibility and/or referral to an outside collection agency in compliance with hospital policies and procedures and industry regulations. Creates and maintains policies and procedures. Develops operational guidelines and policies for work processes. Recruits, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates staff. #14-16 Clinical Informaticist – Information Systems (1.0 FTE) Days
The Clinical Informaticist's responsibilities include the planning, evaluation, development, implementation, maintenance, training and documentation of applications, tools, processes and structures that help the physicians, nurses and other clinicians to manage data and information necessary for the safe, quality care of patients. Active Washington State clinical license required (Registered Nurse strongly preferred). Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a clinical specialty, informatics, computer science or a related field strongly preferred. Reviews clinical documentation and diagnostic results as appropriate to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 codes for billing, internal and external reporting, and regulatory compliance. Under the direction of the Manager of Medical Record Service, accurately code inpatient and outpatient conditions and procedures as documented in the ICD-9-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting. Resolve error reports associated with billing process identify and report error patterns, and, when necessary, assist in design and implementation of workflow changes to reduce billing errors.
