VGH Foundation Raises $64,000
Donations funded equipment for newborn patients
Monroe, WA – Valley General Hospital Foundation President Sherri Williams presented a $64,000 check to the hospital’s leadership on February 5, 2008 to fund four Maternal/Fetal Monitors in the Birth Center.
The presentation of this check closes the capital campaign for the Foundation that was announced in March 2007. “We would like to express great appreciation to all the members of our community that gave to this program,” states Williams. “This is an exciting time to be a part of supporting such a great organization as Valley General Hospital.”
Remembering what matters most… When a family delivers at Valley General Hospital they should expect excellence in patient care in a loving and quality health care environment. They should also expect the hospital to have the most state-of-the-art equipment to benefit mother and baby.
“Our new Maternal/Fetal Monitoring system allows us to continue to deliver the high standard of care our patients expect of us”, states Richard Rybarczyk, MD. “These monitors are the same ones available in hospitals much larger than ours.”
In the past five years, the Foundation has given over $500,000 towards capital improvements and various programs at Valley General Hospital. Private and corporate donations along with annual events play a large role in the Foundation’s success.
Annually the Joseph Feek Memorial Golf Tournament and Classic Car Raffle continue to help the Foundation meet its goal in supporting “True Community Medicine” at Valley General Hospital.
