VGH Offers Free Women’s Health Event
Free Breast Education and Breast Exams in Honor of Cancer Awareness Month

Monroe, WA – Valley General Hospital is hosting a Women’s Health Event Saturday, October 22 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Women over the age of 18 may come and receive a free breast exam performed by a health care provider and free educational materials and instruction on how to perform a proper breast self exam. The key to surviving breast cancer is early detection. Become educated and find out how you can detect the symptoms.

Also, have your questions answered about the risks and myths surrounding breast cancer. Take-home educational materials will be available. All participants will receive coupons to Sweet Escapes a new candy store in Monroe.

Services at the Women’s Health Event are free and are available on a first come first served basis. The event will be held on the second floor of the hospital in the specialty suites. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is also the perfect opportunity for women over the age of 40 to schedule their yearly mammogram. Valley General Hospital offers same week appointments and insurance will be billed. Please call 360-863-4654 to make an appointment.
