Hospital to Start New Community Advisory Committee

Monroe, WA – Have you ever wanted to be part of the health care discussion in the community where you live? Valley General Hospital is looking for eager people who want to learn more and talk about health care.
Valley General Hospital will be kicking off the Community Advisory Committee beginning January 2009. The purpose of this new committee is to provide input to the Board of Commissioners of Valley General Hospital on topics and projects related to community health care issues and health care delivery.
“We are looking forward to getting this group started,” states Mark Judy, CEO. “Valley General Hospital values the community’s thoughts and opinions about health care in East Snohomish County. We hope to have many great discussions and outcomes from this group.”
Not only will the committee members provide valuable input to the Board of Commissioners, but they will also become well informed about the hospital so they can be positive representatives of the hospital in the community.
The term of appointment is two year with the opportunity for one reappointment. To be a committee member you must apply and be accepted, be able to attend a monthly evening educational meeting and live with in the hospital district. (The district includes: Monroe, Snohomish, Sultan, Gold Bar and Index.)
