Watkins Appointed as New VGH Commissioner

Monroe, WA – Valley General Hospital has appointed a new member to its Board of Commissioners - Neil Watkins, Executive Director of Monroe Chamber of Commerce. Watkins applied for the public office because, “I am committed to the growth and success of Valley General,” and also, “I look forward to positioning the hospital for the future…working to set policy that moves Valley General Hospital closer to its potential.”

Watkins brings with him a wealth of experience in leadership and financial analysis and budgeting. After retiring from his corporate career in 2001, Watkins felt like there was more work to accomplish.

Watkins enjoys being involved and staying active in the community where he lives. He has volunteered with many local Snohomish County organizations.

Mark Judy, Valley General Hospital CEO, states, “Neil has shown time and time again his commitment to, and investment in, our community and its future. The hospital has much to gain with the appointment of Neil to the Board of Commissioners.”

Watkins will join Dennis Dinkla and Alice Cabe on Valley General Hospital’s Board of Commissioners.
