Evaluation

EvaluationThe first step to receive an evaluation is to call 360-794-1405. Our intake staff will do a brief phone interview to determine if the caller is appropriate for an evaluation at The Recovery Center.

Evaluations are conducted to determine if the patient meets the DSM IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual IV) criteria for abuse or chemical dependency. Based on this evaluation, a determination will be made to a specific level of care according the American Society of Addiction Medicine Placement Criteria-2 (ASAM-PC2). The evaluation will take up to 60 minutes to complete and may involve a drug screen.

If you are seeking an assessment due to legal concerns such as a DUI, Negligent Driving, or other charges, an assessment can be done by The Recovery Center. The assessment does have a charge so please call for the cost. You will be required to bring in the following paperwork:

  • Copy of your 5 year driving abstract
  • Copy of the police report that includes the breathalyzer reading if the legal charge is for an alcohol or drug related arrest.

Admission

Once an evaluation is completed, a patient will be referred to specific level of care based on their needs. The level of care will be discussed with the patient and the patient can decide whether they want to follow The Recovery Centers recommendation or seek services elswhere.
