WHAT TO BRING
- Pack enough casual, comfortable clothing to last about a week. Laundry facilities are available. Detergent is supplied, as are sheets and towels.
- Stuffed animal, blanket and your pillow, if you wish.
- Walking shoes.
- Personal toiletries (that do not contain alcohol), including shampoo, razors, soap, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush.
- Bathrobe, slippers, etc.
- Jacket, sweater, sweatshirts, suited to season.
- Addresses and phone numbers.
- Battery run alarm clock (not electric and no radio alarm clocks).
- Sports water bottle.
- Insurance card.
- Stamps, envelopes, and writing paper.
- Journal or writing tablet, pens/pencils.
- Prescription drugs you are currently taking, which must be in the original containers, with your name on them, and must be cleared by the Assessment Specialist. Mood/Mind altering chemicals will be destroyed.
- No herbal medications.
WHAT NOT TO BRING
- Do not bring electronic equipment, such as cellular telephones, pagers, computers, radios, tape players, CD players, or MP3 players.
- Do not bring anything valuable. Bring only enough money for co-pay of prescriptions,12-Step meetings and pizza/movie on Saturday nights (about $20-40.00).
- Do not bring weapons of any kind, including pocket knives or mace/pepper spray. Weapons will be confiscated and not returned.
- Do not bring your vehicle, due to limited parking; if you must bring your vehicle, you will leave your keys in the front office and the vehicle parked in front of the hospital.
- Do not bring any outside reading material, including magazines; all reading material will be supplied.
- Do not bring any outside food or drink.
- Any illicit drugs or alcohol will be destroyed. Any reading material of pornographic nature will be destroyed.
